Duane Reed Gallery is proud to present new works by landscape artist Jill Hackney and her latest series “Le Marais,” inspired by the swaps and marshes of the artist’s origin in New Orleans, LA.

"These paintings often shimmer and vibrate, creating a dream like ethereal image, drawing the eye across the canvas. In these works, instead of focusing on the objects, I explore the complexity of reflected light and how it shapes the relationships between objects, space, and atmosphere."

Duane Reed Gallery proudly welcomes the return of John Garrett, continuing his long career in fiber, basketry, and construction of unconventional material systems.

Garrett’s work thrives in whimsy and unpredictability; a piece might be woven, wrapped, plaited, riveted, painted, rusted, twined, nailed, stitched or tied. Each work of art is a meticulously crafted, energetic and complex structure.
